A lot of security threats are coming from these zones, but there are ways to neutralize them.

Of course, it’s easier when you actually own the place, such as the front yard and backyard. But, the building area is not your property, so you cannot do a lot of stuff there.

However, given that you have close neighbours that might act as a community, there are stuff that you can do there as well.
